The Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Volunteer Registration is Live.

Hello Tulane Alumni!

The Community Action Council of Tulane University Students (CACTUS) is proud to announce that we will be working with the Center for Public Service (CPS) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Outreach Tulane Day of Service! This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 9am-1pm. The event will begin on campus in Devlin Fieldhouse where all volunteers will get checked in, eat a small breakfast, and depart on busses to over 25 community sites around the city. Lunch will be provided afterwords.

Outreach Tulane is the university’s largest day of service, open to all members of the Tulane community. Historically, this has been Tulane’s signature event, serving as a springboard for over 1,000 student volunteers to get more involved on campus and around the city. As you may know, this date also reminds us that it has been ten years since the city began its recovery from the devastating effects of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster. In commemoration of this important milestone, Outreach Tulane will happen in conjunction with the Katrina 10 Day of Service, a citywide event for students, residents, and thousands of former volunteers from around the country to remember our past and celebrate the city’s resilience. In order to help the city achieve its goal of hosting 10,000 volunteers during the month of August, we are coordinating our planning efforts to maximize our impact and accommodate more volunteers than ever before. We are excited and honored to play a vital role in providing the volunteer recruitment, engagement, and support needed to make this day a success.

We are thrilled to invite you to come out and volunteer with us! Please watch this video to get a better idea of how this event impacts the students and communities we serve.
